4. Masks

Raksha means demon and the masks apotropaic which means that it is intended to ward off evil. Raksha masks are popular in Sri Lanka because it’s used by Buddhist for cultural dances and festivals.

These Raksha marks are hand painted and hand caved made out of wood by the locals. It comes in different colours, shapes and size such as wall props, key chains and magnets. When it comes to colours, the mask represents them yellow means brings wealth, blue means helps in career and red means protection.
